Hey everybody! For those of you who read my blog, I would like to apologize for not writing anything for a while. Just got busy and distracted. You know how it is. So here's a brief overview of what has happened since.


Mindy Gledhill

Today I went to a Mindy Gledhill concert!!!! It was the most fun ever (and my first concert)! My best friend Jordan even bought me her cd for my birthday! I spent the whole concert singing along and afterwords got to get her autograph and a picture with her! Very memorable. If you haven't heard of her, you should check her out!!


November 12

it happens, November 12 is my birthday! I really had a great one this year. The concert(see post above) was my activity thing. I was very excited to get a bed(my mattress used to be on the floor)!!! I spent the day being really happy and tried so hard no to get angry and I didn't. I felt more loved this year than ever before, it was a very special and memorable day for me. Thank you everybody who made it that way.

Reform

A while back I was just thinking(yes I know a dangerous thing for me) just about my life in general. Well more specifically what I would like my life to be in the future, a vision if you will. I tend to do this from time to time, just as an escape. But this time I did a little comparison; an analytical comparison of my life now and my "vision". Unfortunately as I looked I saw that these paths were running along very different tangents. So I decided to reform. To reform so that I may get on the right train.

The Philosophy Of Pumpkin Carving

There are many unique and cliche traditions for different holidays. There are Christmas traditions, and Easter traditions, and Halloween traditions. On Halloween people dress up and go "trick-or-treating", go to corn mazes, go to parties, watch scary movies, play jokes, and such. The list goes on. In my family we always dress up and go "trick-or-treating" and gorge ourselves with a large assortment of sweets. We will occasionally go to a corn maze and get lost for a little while. And these are fun but the activity that is most fun .....is carving pumpkins. Every year we take some time to pick some pumpkins from our garden( or the store depending on the quality and size of our crop) and spread old newspaper on the dinning room table. After which we sit and rack our imaginations for our own unique design for our Jack-O-Lantern. We all take our permanent markers and the felt tip hovers over the soon to be carved pumpkin. Then we say to ourselves, "maybe I should draw it in paper first." so then we all scribble and scratch until we hear the inevitable "oh baby"'s. It's on to the carving itself. Even with taking as much time and precaution allotted it never turns out the way we would like it. In a sense carving pumpkins is like life. We try or hardest and most times it just does not work out the way we want it to. It is imperative to our survival and success in this world to be able to fight and conquer that disappointment with our ultra shield on high. It's hard to learn in life and to accept it. So instead of renting your clothes from your body an yanking off your scalp, carve a pumpkin and learn the lesson. Pumpkins are irrelevant to life. Or are they?
